Terms of Service

    These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of appliance repair services provided by Fixar Appliance Repair ("Fixar," "we," "us," or "our"). By scheduling or receiving our services, you agree to these Terms.

    1. Services Provided

    Fixar provides professional appliance repair services for residential and commercial clients in Los Angeles County. Services include but are not limited to:

    • Refrigerator, freezer, and ice maker repair
    • Washing machine and dryer repair
    • Dishwasher repair
    • Oven, stove, and range repair
    • Commercial appliance repair and maintenance

    2. Scheduling and Appointments

    • Appointment Booking: Appointments can be scheduled online, via phone, or through our booking system.
    • Service Windows: We provide a 3-hour service window for appointments. Same-day service is subject to availability.
    • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee.
    • Rescheduling: We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests.

    3. Pricing and Payment

    Service Call Fee:

    • A $60 service call fee is charged for service calls
    • This fee is credited toward the repair if you proceed with the service
    • The service call fee is non-refundable if you decline the repair

    Repair Costs:

    • Repair costs typically range from $150-$350, including parts and labor
    • You will receive a written estimate before any work begins
    • Additional costs may apply for emergency or after-hours service

    Payment Methods:

    • We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards
    • Payment is due upon completion of service
    • A receipt will be provided for all transactions

    4. Warranty

    All repairs come with a 1-month warranty on labor and a 3-month warranty on parts:

    • If the same issue occurs within the warranty period, we will repair it at no additional charge
    • The warranty does not cover new or unrelated issues
    • The warranty is void if the appliance is tampered with, misused, or serviced by another party
    • Manufacturer warranties on parts may vary and will be disclosed

    5. Customer Responsibilities

    To ensure safe and efficient service, customers agree to:

    • Provide accurate information about the appliance and the issue
    • Ensure safe and clear access to the appliance
    • Be present or have an authorized representative during the service call
    • Disconnect power to the appliance if requested by the technician
    • Secure pets and maintain a safe working environment

    6. Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law:

    • Fixar is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or damage not caused by our service
    • Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair service provided
    • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
    • We are not responsible for damage caused by improper use or maintenance after our service

    7. Insurance and Licensing

    Fixar is a fully licensed and insured appliance repair company (License #50446). Our insurance covers liability for property damage and personal injury occurring during service.

    8. Dispute Resolution

    In the event of a dispute, we encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve the issue. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled through mediation or small claims court in Los Angeles County, California.

    9. Changes to Terms

    We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
